I felt sadness upon learning of Soliven’s demise. According to the news, he died of complications arising from cardiopulmonary arrest at the Narita Red Cross Hospital in Japan, early this morning.
Philippine journalism could not have been as vibrant without Max Soliven for he was the one of those who articulated the dreams and aspirations of the Filipino people.
He’s one of the reasons why I read Philippine Star. Truly, he will definitely be missed.
